Qualifications
To become a volunteer firefighter, you must:
Be 18 years or older
Obtain Firefighter 1 certification within 3 years (paid for by the department)
Obtain EMT-B certification within 3 years (paid for by the department)
We provide the training and support you need to succeed — no experience required!

Next Steps
Once we receive your application, we’ll review it and contact you for an interview. New recruits are typically brought on in the spring, but we accept applications year-round and recruit as-needed to have our 30 firefighter roster filled.

Junior Volunteer Program
Do you know a young person interested in firefighting or emergency services? We have a limited number of Junior Volunteer spots available for individuals under 18. This is a great opportunity to learn about the fire service and develop valuable skills.
